What is Stress?
Stress is your bodies way of responding to any kind of demand or threat. When you feel threatened or nervous your body will respond in stress hormones: adrenaline and cortisol. It changes your breathing pattern, your heart rate and skin sensitivity.
Symptom of Stress
Headaches; muscle tension; fatigue; upset stomach; bloating; fluid retention; sleep problems and sex drive.
When stress is let to linger further it can cause more serious health issue like depression and anxiety, weight problems; skin conditions like eczema; reproductive problems, memory loss and mood swings.
Causes of Stress
Any pressure situations including negative and positive. From work and life demands to positive situations of getting married.
Not all stresses are caused by external factors some are self generated when you worry excessively about something or become pessimistic about life.
How to Combat Stress Fast
- Walk briskly in fresh air;
- Add in some simple exercise;
- Change your food lifestyle;
- Socialising with friends or family;
- Setting aside time for you to read or compete you hobby (surfing, bike riding, drawing, music or concerts)
- Lose your sense of control;
- Become hopeful and embrace challenges!

Personally my week has been hectic and I did get a little stressed but: I am so grateful to have my beautiful babies to make me laugh; my family & friends to hold me tight and yoga time to remind me of all the positivity.
