b. bike riding and it’s benefits

I like to do a hard rpm (bike) session every week at the gym.  This consists of speed work, standing on the pedal (hill climbs) and resistance training.

Not only is bike riding or bike classes excellent for your cardio fitness but  it an easy way to get to the gym or to go training when you have those  unmotivated feels.

How to:

Listen to your favourite tunes on the bike-

  • When the music speeds up you go faster by speeding your legs to their maximum
  • When the music slows pump up the intensity on the resistance knob and grind it out
  • When the music has a grinding beat stand from the saddle and pump your pedals to the beat.

b. bike workout or warm up 

-complete 2 mins ON 1 min OFF of HARD GRIND with resistance up

-complete 30 sec ON and 30 secs OFF for 5 mins SPEED 

-complete 2 mins out of the saddle and 1 min GRIND high resistance

Do this above set 3 times
